We use an organic cotton that is handwoven / handspun. The natural texture of this fabric is nubby and soft. Each Matilija Kaftan is unique given the nature of the handwoven textile.
Two low waistline pockets are on each side of the kaftan. They are lower than one would expect, and creates a sculptural shape on the body.
Our handwoven cotton is produced using organic farming methods that reduce water usage.
