Fringed edges with shell stitch along the hem. A blanket-style poncho inspired by the traditional outwear of Iceland. We have sewn a scarf into this to wrap around the neck, head, and waist as desired.

Climate Beneficial™ Wool is a by-product of employing carbon farming practices. Sheep raised on a farm that can sequester carbon back into the ground, as opposed to sending it into the atmosphere, are actually reducing their carbon footprint and creating a beneficial impact on the environment.

Open arms. One Size. Generously blanketed on the body with a wrapping oversized scarf that can be tied, wrapped around the head, or draped on the shoulders

Hand-sewn blanket stitch is thread from Valley Oak Wool Mill, a Climate Beneficial Fibershed certified farm.

Designed and made in Northern California.

Because this item is made to order, and our blanket stitch is done by hand over 17 hours, price is reflected.

This is a special collaboration between Herderin and Helene Jones. Helene is a Fibershed producer and a kind, soft-hearted soul. Her 17-hour commitment to this poncho honors the everlasting value of garments made with the right principles in mind.

This garment is Fibershed certified.
