THE LIVING ARCHIVE: Fashion as a Living System. Our Exhibition and Panel at SF Climate Week
Share
The Living Archive wasn't a traditional fashion show. There was no runway, no choreographed march under harsh lights. Instead, Herderin's garments moved through the crowd the way they're meant to be worn — on real bodies, in real space, at ease.

Every piece in the show was plant-dyed, naturally sourced, and made to be lived in. Layered silhouettes that were simultaneously sculptural and soft. Colors drawn from the earth. Garments that didn't ask the body to perform — they let it rest.
Our models weren't directed to project. They were grounded. And people noticed.

Kara Fabella and True sat down to talk about what Herderin actually is — not just a clothing brand, but a research-driven practice rooted in the relationship between dress, identity, and the self. (footage coming soon)

What we didn't fully anticipate was the turnout. The room filled with people who came for art and stayed for the clothes — asking questions, wanting to touch the fabric, wanting to know more.
That's the thing about dressing with intention. People feel it before they can name it.

The Living Archive was one stop in a big week. More on what we've been building — and where we're going next — soon.

Thank you so much to the models, True, Kara Fabella, and SF Startup Fair.
