I feel the earth on my skin;
a tactile connection to these elemental bodies.

it’s in the living forms that we feel, that we see. 
the diversity of life, the fluidity in
shape, size;

the metamorphosis between
states of being.

like mud turning to hardened clay; 
there is something alive here.

the softness of sand slipping through time,
the coarse rocks found beneath
our feet,

the woven strands touching our skin,
to remind us we are awake as well.
